Yesterday I spent from 7:30 AM until 8 PM at school because of full orchestra and Vons ensemble rehersal. the Vons ensemble thing was cancelled, but I'll get to that later.

I forgot what I did during school.

Afterschool, Allison and I walked down to BMMS to tutor my kid, and for her, to apply for a tutoring job. For some reason, she took over my kid while I did math homework, but it was cool. Teehee. Then we walked out to the parkinglot where my dad came, I ate hamburgers, and he gave me and Allison a ride beack to MC where he dropped us off at the bandroom.

We hung out in there with a few other people, and then I went out to the pool deck to watch the swim competition thingy that was going on. There, I saw Megan, Pater, Caitlin, Lauren, Sam, Eamon, Ann, Chris, Rob, Ash, and a few other people who at the moment I don't remember. I have no damn clue how the scoring for swim competition goes, but people told me MC was having it's ass kicked >.<.

Back to the bandroom, Megan came, and then some more orchestra people, and then people for an ensemble that didn't belong to mine. You see, for the ensemble we have shifts. I have from 9 AM to 11:30 AM, and other people have other shifts. Each shift is supposed to get together, and reherse. My own shift was supposed to reherse today, but for some reason we cancelled it. However, Melissa and her group was cool enough to let me reherse with them.

After the Vons rehersal more people from the full orchestra arrived and we had our full orch reheral. At one point, while the entire orch was at a rest, I played an extra note, and was like "damn!" Mr. Torns stopped the whole orchestra, looked directly at me, and said "Someone in the seconds is on the edge of messing up. I know who it is, but I'm not going to say his name." lol. Fun stuff. Sometime later on while playing Beethoven, Mr. Torns cut the whole orchestra off, ecept.... Mike, I think (it was someone who sits behind me so I can't see them) and he did his solo. The solo thats supposed to be accompanied by the rest of the orch, but for some unexpected reason, he was doing it by himself, while I was sitting there wondering what the hell was going on. After he finished, Mr. Torns was like "I love you. That was perfect." lol. Then we did it together and all was good. Rehersal ended at 7:45 PM, a lot earlier than I had expected.

Today in Life Management, we watched a video and did worksheets. Yay. Then we picked the groups we're gonna be with in the kitchen when we do the foods chapter, and I'm with Elizabeth YAY!! =).

In computer aided drafting, I helped Fantasia (isn't that a cool name?) with her drawing. She's getting pretty damn good at it. Then I worked on the computer on my CAD stuff. Damn, that class is so cool.

During lunch, the ASB table was in front of our benches again, so yay for us. Sometime, Mr. Garett came around, put a chair at our table, sat down, and just had a convo with us while eating his lunch of bean and cheese salad. "wth... bean and cheese salad...?" you may be asking? Well, that was what was on our minds too, so we made fun of him for it. lol. But he's cool. Its hard to explain the experience with him there, but it was funny. We left the table a mess.

In orchestra, we had sectionals. Yep. After sectionals, Danielle is like "We're gonna have our Vons rehersal now", and I'm like "I have to go to private lessons right now... >.<." So they had it without me.

At private lessons, I SUCKED. But I guess that's what happens when you barely practice. lol. My teacher could tell too, because at the end of the session she was like "You need to practice a bit more." She was probably just trying to be nice when she was annoyed. That was my last two days.

Mmm, on Friday, Mr. Cumming's said he was going to start assigning homework, and everyone started cheering. Unless you're in Cumming's class, you wouldn't understand. During break, a few people which I will not name got hold of an algebra book, one of the 16 that Mr. Cumming's has been begging us to give back to him, and kicked it around, ripped pages out of it, etc. Teehee.

In orchestra, the usual happened, but I got to take a look at the music I'm going to be playing at the Von's ensemble thingy. Holy hell, its simple stuff. Its all just quarter notes, half notes, and whole notes, give or take a few slurs. And if the composer was feeling really crazy, maybe write a dotted half note in there. lol. Yeah, so go to Von's in the Von's Shopping Center in PQ on Sunday, April 4, and watch us play this stupidly easy music. There are probably gonna be like WV who pass by, take a look, and say "wtf you guys suck if thats all you play?!Q!!?!" But just so you guys know, thats not what we play in orchestra. Yes.

After school, I went to the Balboa Activity Center to check out the science fair there. Actually, it was my dad that made me go. But before we went there, we dropped by this hardware store in Clairemont and I made friends with the motorcycle biker dude that worked in there. He had some pretty crazy facial hair and tattoos. lol. But anyways, at the fair, there was this one exhibit where this kid did experiments on what factors on a bullet would affect how it shot through a stack of phonebooks. Stuff like using different amounts of gunpowder, full metal jacketed bullets, jacked hollow points, etc. Since there was no one around, I stole one of the bullets he had on display. TEEHEE. Then we drove around Downtown San Diego looking for Petco Park, but we couldn't find it.

But today we did. I started off the day by driving to Cuyamaca to Cuyamaca College because they had a 9/11 quilt showing thingy there. Basically, there was a quilt made for every person that lost a life on the morning of September 11, 2001. Each quilt had the name of the person it was dedicated too, and sometimes it had a picture or a description or both. Its been almost a 3 years since the 9/11, yet the scars have still not faded from American hearts. There were a lot of people there, and I walked by this man who just broke down crying. Others were hugging each other, and still others were silently weeping. the scariest thing about 9/11 for me was how no one was expecting it to happen. People had no idea that when they got up that morning, on their way to work, or doing whatever they were doing, their lives were going to be horribly shaken up, and taken away from them. They were just going through their daily morning routine that many of them had been doing for years, and the planes come out of no where and strike them. What if on Monday morning on my way to school I get in a car accident, and die? If 9/11 could happen, why can't a simple car accident?

After the quilt thing, we went to Horton Plaza, parked, and walked to Petco Park. A lot of the area around it is still under construction, but it looks pretty cool. Then we walked back to Horton Plaza, and I just chilled there for a while.

I'm listening to "Televators" by The Mars Volta right now. It's a kinda creepy, but good song. Peace Outside.

Monday during lunch was spent dodging shrapnel from exploding CD's by Tony and Calo. Fun stuff. I got my progress notice today, and guess what? All A's except for one C... in Mr. Cumming's class. I'll get that fixed by the end of the semester, though. Today during lunch Kevin raped Chris with 2, not 1, 2, count em, 2, chilie cheese corndogs. I spent some time with Ann and Ayesha, at a shrimp nugget provided by Jonathan, and watched a mosh pit take place where we sit. Then after lunch, its off to orchestra. We had sectionals today, and all the time we were with Mya, only played 3 damned measures. We did them like perfectly, too. Why didn't we go on, then? I don't know. Then we went inside and did sectionals with Kim, where we got through a page. Better that before, but still a little short. Speaking of orchestra, I lost my God damned music folder. It's been lost since last friday, and if I don't find it, I'm screwed for reasons which I will not elaborate on. Thanks to Patty for trying to help me find it. After school, I went to violin lessons, then back to school to look for the music folder. It's still lost. Okay, I think that's it for now.

On Wednesday we didn't have any school, so my dad made me go to my violin lessons like half an hour early, and when I got there, my teacher was busy with another kid. So I just sat there for half an hour doing nothing o.O. After lessons, I went to Fry's Electronics. For one, the DDR mat wasn't being horded by like asian gangsters or little kids so I hopped on and broke out my hot moves. You know it. lol, I sucked so much... missing like half the steps on light mode, yet about 10 people still gathered around me to watch me play. lol. That's what I did for about half an hour while my dad was off buying some electronic stuff.

Then today I was at School an hour early, like I am every Friday, and I took a video of Eamon, Lily, and John. I told tem to so something spontaneous, and Eamon and Lily were like "Dude, you can't just tell us to to it. You have to catch us in the moment." But John didn't care and just started spazzing out. I got that on tape. lol. Check it out in the video section of the gallery. There were some coffee grounds in the planter, so we started drawing people with them on the planter edge. Then the school's gardener came by, saw us, and was like "we need some greenery to make them some hair! They look to bland." He took his weed clipper thingies and chopped off the biggest leaf on this plant that was in the planter. Then he cut it and put it on our coffee people so one had a mohawk and the other had spikes. The third one was a skinhead. lol. Next he took some flower buds and made eyes for them. Then he took one huge bud and put it into its mouth and said "Whooooaa, he's got a fat one. Anyone have a light?" lmao, our gardner's a stoner. Haha. We gave them twigs as weapons, and more grassy stuff. Then we gave one a loincloth made of a leaf. The gardener said "There's no point in having a loincloth if you don't have anything to hide under it.." so he lifted a leaf up, put a stick under it, and put the leaf back down. lol. Ahhh, its so obvious that or gardener's a stoner. But he's still cool =). I bet people don't get to do stuff like this over at Westview. lol.

If you thought that was random, check this out. John fell, and when he got, he was laughing so hard he was crying for about 10 minutes. Then he was like "OMG, that was the BEST thing that I have EVER experienced!!!" lol, John, I don't think I've ever had as much falling down as you :).

During lunch while I was standing in line this lady came up to me and asked me to be a vegetarian for 24 hours. I said "okay," and she gave me a sticker with a picture of a peice of steak and an X through it. I don't think Ill be able to do it. Her booth was right next to the lunch line, and everyone in line was like ordering foods with meats in them to piss her off.

In PE I played raquetball with Allison, Patty, Ben, and Dawn.

Allison has really cool friends in Texas.

Let's see. On Friday night I had to drive to El Camino High School in Oceanside to perform in the orchestra festival. Damn, in Oceanside, and with the Friday afternoon traffic, it took like an hour and a half to get there. When we were playing on stage I messed up so many times >.< that I thought I would bring the whole orchestra down. But when we were packing up, Mr. Torns said that we could have been better, but we were defintely "head and shoulders above everyoe else." In fact, Mr. Torns was so confident that he didn't even stick around the few extra minutes to see what rating the judges gave us. He just disappeared right afterwards to his car. And when I walked over to see the scores, MC had recieved a "U Superior", which is the best possible rating. Damn, I've never been in an orchestra as good as MC's. But all the extra hard work and being yelled at to be better is definitely worth it.

Then yesterday I was going to see a movie with a whole bunch of people, but for one reason or another, everyone had to drop out. The only person who could go for sure was Meg, but I didn't feel that it would be worth it if just me and Meg went by ourselves, so I called her and told her it was cancelled. But only a few minutes later, she called me back and told me that she and Allison were gonna go there to hang out anyway, and asked if I wanted to come. I walked over there and met up with them, and after only a few minutes we saw Jessie and her boyfriend Chad. Then Cana and a few of her Westview friends came. It was so weird, because now there were like 10 people there, and all of us had come in smaller groups witout knowing that the other people were gonna be there. Unfortunately, Canna and her friends had already seen a movie, so they had to leave. So now it was me, Allison, Meg, Jessie, and Chad. We decided to go watch Hidalgo. Sorry to anyone who like the movie *cough*Allison*cough* (she cried 4 times during the film), but I thought it sucked. It was so damned boring.... and so damned long >.<. When we came out it was dark. We walked over to Jamba Juice, and on the way there Chad stole some ballons from a "SALE GOING ON NOW!!" sign and gave them to Allison. After Jamba Juice we went to Starbucks, and at that point Jessie and Chad had to leave. So the 3 of us, me, Meg, and Allison, just wandered for a while before we decided to go into Pat and Oscars to eat. They have really good breadsticks. Yep. At about 8 o'clock I decided it was time for me to go, so I walked home. It was a pretty good day, considering my original plans had been scrapped, and an entirely new one was made in a matter of seconds o.O.

Friday, March 12, 2004

I came to school at 8 AM and saw Ann in the bandroom. When I walked out to go where I usually hang out, John, Steven, and Lily were over by the payphones. John and Lily were on the phones and laughing their asses off. After a really long time, they hung up, and I John told me what they were doing. They were calling sex hotlines and punching in random numbers as credit card numbers to sign up for them. lol. Too bad the services don't work on payphones. Teehee. Then John busted out his "Moments" mints, which taste a lot like ass. Gah, they're really that bad. The only reason why he buys them is so we can make fun of them. lol. Then Robby came with his little packet of mouth numbing gel which is supposed to be used for toothaches, kankersoars, etc. But all we did was screw around with it. Ahahaha, that stuff is so awesome, you put it on your tongue and you seriously can't feel it for like 10 minutes. lol. Steven sucked up the entire thing and was like drooling and foaming at the mouth and not able to talk for the rest of the morning. I think I failed Mr. Cumming's fourth proof test. During lunch, nothing particularly exciting happened, but it felt good to have another bench to sit at :). In orchestra Mr. Torns told me to use more bow, and while I was playing I looked up and he gave me the stink eye and I frantically started using more bow. lol. I probably played all the wrong notes though. Now I'm at home, and getting ready to go to festival.

Awww feck. I have a 74.4% average in Cumming's class >.<. I'll have to make a note to fix that by the end of the semester. In other news, yesterday, Robby brought a frying pan to school and we used to it play baseball with a banana during lunch. As you can probably imagine, the results were not pretty. Upon impact with the frying pan, the banana exploded in a large, mushy mess. The authorities were present during the time of the event, but to the best of our knowledge no punishment was enacted. Then later today at lunch, a large group of people, estimated from five to ten, were seen dragging a heavy concrete bench about 100 feet from its original position to a new one closer to were we sit at lunch. The aftermath was large scatch trails from where the bench was dragged, and a trip to the discipline office for one of the group's members after being caught by Mr. Garrette. This is Michael Sun, news at 7. *END newscaster voice* lol, that bench thing was definitely the best part of my whole week. It was so damn funny... ahahaha.

Ahhhhhhh last night we had rehersal for our orchestra concert this Friday. We did pretty good, but we sucked ass on the Finale of Elgar. Mr. Torns made us do that one over like three or four times. Damn, with the wind section sitting right behind me, I can't even here myself play. What also sucked that mine and Alison's stand was like... retarded. It was working fine for about half the rehersal, but then suddenly in the middle of a peice it just slides all the way down with a loud "thunk!", and this was right after Mr. Torns had told Alison and I to raise our stand higher so we could see him. And now the damned thing at the lowest it could possibly be. During the peice, we didn't stop to fix it, though. I still did pretty well, played, kept eye contact with the conductor, etc, but that's only because we've been playing that song so long that I have most of it memorized. But I kinda felt sorry for Alison because she was literally sight reading the music because she's still fairly new to the orchestra, so she had to keep her eyes glued on the music. She's also the one that Mr. Torns always tells to look up at him >.<. In between songs, we'd try to fix the stand, but it would keep on falling back down. I think that Mr. Torns knew, though, because he didn't yell at us for playing with so low. If we had played with it so low with a working stand, he would have unleashed hell on us. Then sometime during the middle of a peice my peg slipped and the A string went out of tune. That was easily fixed. Right before playing our last peice, I was trying to fix our stand, I looked up at Mr. Torns, and he chuckled at me o.O. That's a first. I finally got the stand working it served us well throughout our last song. While we were exiting the stage, Mr. Torns patted me on the back. Now that's really a first. I doubt it will ever happen again, too. lol. Then today during first period Life Management, we learned how to be babysitters. Fun stuff... not really. We took this little quiz on what we would do during if the following scenerios arised while we were babysitting: if people tried to break in, if someone we didn't know was at the door, if someone we didnt know called, if we heard a strange noise somewhere in the house, etc. After every question, Liz would turn to me and say "I'd take a gun out." Then they asked us what we would do if the kid started crying and wouldn't stop. Liz didn't even have to say it, but I started cracking. lol. Then in orchestra while we were having sectionals outside, a certain somebody wrote "fuck you" into the dirt and our sectional leader saw. She said "Nice, thats very nice." No one knew what the hell she was talking about, but I found out afterwards. After school I went to private lessons, and my teacher is making me learn stuff crazy fast. She wan't be to get into a youth orchestra by June, after only recieving private lessons for like 3 months. I think that's all for now.

I'll try to keep this one short and sweet.

On Friday, I took my digital camera to school to take random photos for the Michael Pages. Mission accomplished. I took a crapload of pictures that I'm going to put up sometime. A lot of people seemed to be amazed at how small my camera was, and asked how much it costed. To be honese, I don't know. I bought that 'lil thing maybe a year ago so I forgot. If you still want to know, though, I'll try to find out for you. Umm... we took a proof test in Mr. Cumming's class, and this time I'm not sure if I passed it or not. The last two tests, I was certain that I would pass, and I did. But this time it's "iffy."

Then on Saturday, yesterday, I went airsofting with a bunch of people, and it was fun, but nothing extraordinary happened to write about. The only thing worth writing about was that a car crash happened while we were playing, but that's not really airsoft related. lol. While we were between games, Nick was telling us that he'd eat a cactus we'd found if we gave him a dollar, and he was skinning the cactus with a pocket knife when suddenly a loud "BAM" echoed through the area that we were playing it. I looked and said "What the hell was that...?" and a split second later a car horn went off endlessly and Andrew yelled "CAR CRASH!!" Then we all sprinted across the field to see these two cars in the middle of Black Mountain road that had crashed. Looked like a PT cruiser with a Mercedes. Ouch >.<. No one seemed to be injured, but the side airbag of the Mercedes had gone off and the PT Cruiser was leaking cooling liquid stuff. After airsofting I came home and went to Home Town Buffet with my family. Damn, we waited in line for about 45 minutes before we got in. And after eating we came home, rested a bit, and at 9:35 my dad and I saw The Passion of the Christ. I don't have much to say about that because the movie pretty much left me speechless. This is Michael, over and out.
