Queen Mania!!*I&! Queen's "Breakthru."

So school's out. I'm gonna miss all the seniors that I knew this year, and by golly, they numbered a lot. Finals were easy as shit (probably because I really only had two), and it didn't even feel like the last day on Wednesday. I woke up, and my mom was like, "Aren't you excited for the last day of school?!" And I was like, "What?.. Oh yeah, I forgot." What am I gonna do all summer without school to keep me busy?

Day after school got out, I went movie hopping with my brother and we caught Batman Begins and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I really liked Batman. Its dark and morbid, and I think it totally saves the franchise that had been ruined by the past movies with their crappy plots and ridiculously unbelievable villians. There's none of that in this one. As for Mr. and Mrs. Smith, it wasn't quite as good as I had expected, but I did find amusing the crazy amounts of weapons and explosions =P.

After that, I went to Kate & Cait's most EXTREME bonfire at La Jolla Shores. lol. I had a good time just chillin with people, bumming firewood off of other peoples' pits (cause we didn't have enough) and frolicking in the water at night, which was suprisingly warm considering the weather and time of day. Did you know that when the waves break at night the foam glows green cause of all the lil micro organisms in them? Isn't that the shiznit?! Ambrose got a mouthful of that, and when he spit it onto the sand, his spit glowed green. lol. Yeah, good times.

If I could only reach you
If I could make you smile
If I could only reach you
That would really be a breakthrough!

Green Day's "Waiting."

Jesus, I may have just experienced the most eventful weekend of my life o.O.

It all started Friday night with the Orchestra/Wind I end of the year concert. We played so freakin well. Two standing ovations! Count them, two!! I loved it. Thats for orchestra. Wind I got their own share of cheer from the audience.

Then as is tradition, we all went over to TGI Friday's. We had to wait outside for like 45 minutes because even though Melissa made a reservation, people who never told us they would be coming showed up, so we had to wait until enough people in the restaraunt left so that they could push some tables together for us. In the end, we ended up having to split up into a table of 25 and a table of 10.

I didn't get home until about midnight, and even then I stayed up till about 2 AM playing a game I've recently aquired... Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. More on that later.

Then on Saturday morning I had to get up early for the last CYO rehersal of the year. After CYO, we went to Costco, got some lunch, and I came home and took a nap for an hour. As soon as I got up I took a shower and got ready for the MC music banquet. Left the house at around 4:30 PM.

As expected, the band banquet was one hell of a good time. Reception took about an hour, where everyone just took in the amazing effort that everyone took to look good for banquet. People treat this thing just like any other school formal, and as well they should. When we were finally let in, they began serving dinner, which was kinda... eww. I won't go there. I sat at table 12 with Girish, Patty, Ambrose, Katie, Stephanie, Vladik and Brittany. Later, Emma and Craig came. We were by far the rowdiest table around, even though we sat right behind the adminstator's table =P. I won't go into details. Then came the long ass awards, senior memories, all that jazz. To my surprise, I got the award for "Outstanding Sophomore Boy." I was so convinced that Vladik was going to get that award that when the name was read, I literally leaned over the table with my hand outstretched and said "Congratulations! You got it, Vladi-- ... what?!" Then I looked up, and everyone was clapping and cheering and looking at... me. What a pleasant surprise. lol. I still think Vladik or Ambrose deserved it more. After about 3 hours of awards, the dance began. A lot of people say that the band banquet's dance is better than any of the school dances, and I must agree with them there. However, I remember last year's being better. Whatever, it was still cool. It ended at midnight, and I got home at around 1 and promptly fell alseep, being tired as I was.

I woke up near noon on Sunday, quickly got dressed, and dashed over to Copely Symphony Hall in Downtown SD for the last CYO concert of the year. Gaaaahhh, it was so looooooooong!! We played great and stuff, but we were at the freakin hall for like 5 hours ~.<. The two soloists for the violin and piano concerto were freaking amazing. I liked the Beethoven piano concerto more than the Ravel violin concerto, though, cause I've never been a real big fan of impressionistic music. Chilled with Niema, Agnes, Lisa, Julia, Thai-an, Lucy, Allison, and Brian in the downtime.
Afterwards my dad was all giddy cause he got away without having to pay for parking in the Copely parking lot (usually $20).

Then I came home and played some more San Andreas. All I have to say is that that's one hell of a great game. It continues the traditional of excellence from the previous Grand Theft Auto titles. Its just so damn... open ended. I've played only about 2 hours into the game, yet I already have so much to talk about.

Anyways, thats it for now.

lol, its hard to remember things that are significant when you haven't posted for so long.

Well.. a couple weeka ago I went to a leadership seminar. That was pretty cool. Their Togo's sandwhiches were ultra soggy and flimsy, though.

That week was also ungodly hot.

I'm trying out for principal second violin in the school orchestra.

Next week is extremely packed. I'm gonna take my road test on Tuesday and hopefully get my license. There's also a full orchestra rehersal that night. APEC presentations. Art history final project. School orchestra concert on Friday at MC. Last CYO rehersal on saturday. Music banquet that night. CYO concert on Sunday at Copely (which I have to miss the swim banquet for).

Okay! Ask me for tickets for the concerts, yeah?
