Green Day's "Waiting."

Jesus, I may have just experienced the most eventful weekend of my life o.O.

It all started Friday night with the Orchestra/Wind I end of the year concert. We played so freakin well. Two standing ovations! Count them, two!! I loved it. Thats for orchestra. Wind I got their own share of cheer from the audience.

Then as is tradition, we all went over to TGI Friday's. We had to wait outside for like 45 minutes because even though Melissa made a reservation, people who never told us they would be coming showed up, so we had to wait until enough people in the restaraunt left so that they could push some tables together for us. In the end, we ended up having to split up into a table of 25 and a table of 10.

I didn't get home until about midnight, and even then I stayed up till about 2 AM playing a game I've recently aquired... Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. More on that later.

Then on Saturday morning I had to get up early for the last CYO rehersal of the year. After CYO, we went to Costco, got some lunch, and I came home and took a nap for an hour. As soon as I got up I took a shower and got ready for the MC music banquet. Left the house at around 4:30 PM.

As expected, the band banquet was one hell of a good time. Reception took about an hour, where everyone just took in the amazing effort that everyone took to look good for banquet. People treat this thing just like any other school formal, and as well they should. When we were finally let in, they began serving dinner, which was kinda... eww. I won't go there. I sat at table 12 with Girish, Patty, Ambrose, Katie, Stephanie, Vladik and Brittany. Later, Emma and Craig came. We were by far the rowdiest table around, even though we sat right behind the adminstator's table =P. I won't go into details. Then came the long ass awards, senior memories, all that jazz. To my surprise, I got the award for "Outstanding Sophomore Boy." I was so convinced that Vladik was going to get that award that when the name was read, I literally leaned over the table with my hand outstretched and said "Congratulations! You got it, Vladi-- ... what?!" Then I looked up, and everyone was clapping and cheering and looking at... me. What a pleasant surprise. lol. I still think Vladik or Ambrose deserved it more. After about 3 hours of awards, the dance began. A lot of people say that the band banquet's dance is better than any of the school dances, and I must agree with them there. However, I remember last year's being better. Whatever, it was still cool. It ended at midnight, and I got home at around 1 and promptly fell alseep, being tired as I was.

I woke up near noon on Sunday, quickly got dressed, and dashed over to Copely Symphony Hall in Downtown SD for the last CYO concert of the year. Gaaaahhh, it was so looooooooong!! We played great and stuff, but we were at the freakin hall for like 5 hours ~.<. The two soloists for the violin and piano concerto were freaking amazing. I liked the Beethoven piano concerto more than the Ravel violin concerto, though, cause I've never been a real big fan of impressionistic music. Chilled with Niema, Agnes, Lisa, Julia, Thai-an, Lucy, Allison, and Brian in the downtime.
Afterwards my dad was all giddy cause he got away without having to pay for parking in the Copely parking lot (usually $20).

Then I came home and played some more San Andreas. All I have to say is that that's one hell of a great game. It continues the traditional of excellence from the previous Grand Theft Auto titles. Its just so damn... open ended. I've played only about 2 hours into the game, yet I already have so much to talk about.

Anyways, thats it for now.
