Happy 16th birthday, Chris.

I really don't feel like updating, but I promised, so here goes.

Alright, so last night Chris called me up asking if I wanted to go with him and a few guys to see "Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" with Nick Gonzales and Jake Hodgens buying the tickets for us into the rated R movie. When I get there, I see Chris, James, Jake, Nick Hoffman, Wes, and Robby. They're figuring out what we're gonna do instead of watch "Life Aquatic" cause Jake tried buying tickets and found out that you must be 21 or over to buy more than 2 tickets for any rated R movie (ghey). I have no clue where Nick Gonzales was. A few of us, me, Chris, Wes, and James, decided to watch "Meet the Fockers" instead so we go and buy tickets for it while the other guys didn't cause they had already seen it or something. But as we walk toward the theater for "Meet the Fockers," it was almost like a sign or something that "Life Aquatic" was the theater right next door. And also, there was a line to get into "Meet the Fockers" because the theater hadn't opened yet, and the line stretched past the door of "Life Aquatic," blocking it from view almost. Now, my mommy always told me to grab opertunity by the horns when it made itself readily available (=P), so we just walked into "Life Aquatic" with James bitching cause he was ascared that we were gonna get caught. Ahahahaha, sorry James, I had to say it.

About the movie itself: DAMN it was trippy. One of the wierdest, if not the wierdest, movie that I've ever seen. Especially the music. Jeeze, I can't even explain how trippy the music was. You have to hear it for yourself before you can understand. The movie was damn funny even though there was rarely a moment where I understood what the hell was going on. There was this one part when Captain Zissou was in a gunfight with Asian pirates inside an old abandoned building, and then scene changes so that the the camera showed the outside of the building, and the building suddenly explodes for no apparent reason. You can't help but wonder where the hell the explosion came from o.O. Then as they're hurrying to escape the island, Captain Zissou says, "Quick! Throw the key to their boat into the water! Wait, they might have an extra set. Whatever, just blow their boat up!" Funny as hell movie. I recomend you go watch it.

Go.

Right now.

Its much better than sitting here at your computer vegetating.

But I guess if you'd rather vegetate, you could read on.

From what I hear, Jake and Robby were at the top of the theater (everyone else was at the bottom cause there weren't any more seats when we snuck in), and Robby decides to just leave in the middle of the movie. Nick Hoffman is somewhere outside so Jake tries to sneak him in through the back door, but something goes wrong and it never happens. After the movie, me, Jake, Chris, and Wes go to Islands, where we see Robby with his Morman crew. By this time, James had gone home cause he "isn't allowed to stay out past 10." And we called Nick Hoffman and he's at home. He came and never even saw a movie. lol. Later, Jake ditches with another senior dude. Thats some pretty stellar movie planning right there =P. Most people ditched and one guy never even saw a movie. By the way, some guy in Islands had a stroke and paramedics had to be called in.

Yep. That was Thursday night. Tonight I went to the San Diego Auto Convention in Downtown. There's isn't really much to say about that.. there were like, a gazillion cars on display but I only payed any interest to the expensive ones =P. There was a hummer on a platform that was slanted at like a 60 degree angle, and the guy said that it was to demonstrate its braking system. Jeeeze. But then I saw that it was bolted down. Heh.

I really don't see the point of hummers. Meg sums it up quite nicely: "monster boxes put on top of the chassis of a regular old chevy truck." Seriously, drive one into an Iraqi hotspot and lets see how long you last. They're quite the gas chugger too, and not exactly environmentally considerate.

My dad must've looked under the engine of like half the cars there, and there are a little under a gazillion cars ~.<. Ahahaha, did anyone see the talking robot? That seemed to be real crowd pleaser. Or the Aston Martin cars? Their most expensive one was $250,000+. That's like James Bond times 20. Or the Bently priced at $385,000? I was listening to the guy talk about a Chrystler concept car, "0 to 60 in 3 seconds." Who would ever need that o.O.

Yep. For an update where I don't really feel like posting, thats one hell of a long update.

I'm generally against background music on websites, mostly cause I don't want to annoy the hell out of people and in consideration for those viewers who are on a dialup connection where background music would only help to lag things up. And even if I do have background music, I'd usually make it optional like I did in the original Michael Pages. But hey, I guess I can make an exception this holiday season and add some New Year's cheer =P. So here's "Auld Lang Syne" for you folks.

Check back later tonight for a recap of yesterday's movie outing (it was a bit hectic, to say the least) and the SD Auto Convention I'm going to today. Yahoo.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and such. Next holiday on the lineup: New Year's. Don't get too wasted at those parties =P.

Tragic stuff, that tsunami that hit in Asia. My thoughts and prayers go out to the many thousands of lost lives and their families. Damn, thats some pretty stellar timing with it hitting during what's supposed to be the happiest time in the year :-/. Did you know that Jet Li is on the missing list from that tsunami? I'm not saying that his being missing is any more important than any of the thousands of others, but I just thought that was interesting.

I leave you fine ladies and gentleman with this:

Somehow, I'm feeling more festive this year than others of the past. And whats most uplifting about this is that this feeling I'm getting isn't of the over-commercialized holidays that we get so much of nowadays. Its of what these holidays were actually and traditionally meant to be. That probably made no sense to you whatsoever, but I'm not going to spend time trying to clear it up. But check this out:

These past two days me and a few other people from orchestra have been setting ourselves up into a small string ensemble on the sidewalk on Christmas Card Lane (that neighborhood in PQ that organizes to have every house put up hardcore decorations for the holidays). Its always been a family tradition for me to drive around that area this time of year to take in the sight of the lights and share in the joy of the holiday season that everyone around there has. But this has been the first year that I've actually been part of the "act."

We basically just sat there next to a bonfire, playing our music, taking cookie and cider breaks, letting people enjoy our music, and accepting donations. We decided all money made would go to charity (about $270 in total for 6 hours). While playing there and watching the purest of children come by and be taken in awe to all the lights and sounds, I realized that I was having an extremely fun time doing what I love to do. We were basically emulating the oldschool tradition of caroling, and fitting it to our style. It made me realize that this is truly what Christmas feels like. Its a feeling that I can't say I've had before in the past. And now that I think about, I'm not sure I can even put that feeling into words. Its just so awesome.

I'd really like that thank the people that I shared this experience with. And this year, I can truly say "Merry Christmas" from the bottom of my heart, I can mean it, and I know exactly why I am saying it.

Happy holidays, everyone.

First off, Happy Birthday to Alex and Lilly! =)

I really need to get to sleep earlier. These days, I've been going to bed at the wee morning hours of 3 or 4 AM, only to wake up at around noon. For some people this is normal, but for me its sure as hell not. I don't want it to be, anyways.

3 nights of partying in a row... what fun!

Friday night was the orchestra party. It was as fun as an orchestra party could possibly be. That could be a good or bad depending on how you look at it. I'm not going to go into details on that one But I must say, those senior bandos kids can really haul ass on the DDR pad. It was too cool to watch them to not mention that in here. =P

Alex's birthday party on Saturday night. Thats some grade A fun right there, youngin'. I met some new people, talked to some that I never do with at school, etc, etc. Wes taught me how to player poker and I lost $5 while playing. Actually, it was more like Alyssa lost $5 and was out of the game, and then I told her go ahead and take my chips and play for me cause I had gotten bored of it. But even if I had kept on playing, I probably would have lost. More stuff happened, but I'm not gonna go into detail. Happy Birthday, Alex.

Sunday night was dedicated to Lilly's birthday. I waited outside for a few minutes because no one would answer the door because the music inside was blaring and they couldn't hear the doorbell. Then when there was a break in the music, I hear Garrison's voice, "Alright, lets do another one. A one two three four!" so I was like "GARRISSON GET THE DOOOR!!" But it was too late, and they had started up again. But then Jessie got the door so it was all good =P. As soon as I walk through, I look upstairs and everyone's up there rocking out with their electric guitars and basses and whatnot with Garrison on drums. We took turns taking drinks of Sparkling Apple Cider out of shot glasses...
Lilly's Mom- What on earth are you doing?
John- Getting wasted!
Danny- *in drunken voice* Hit me up with another, bartender John
Chyeeeaahhh it was fun. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Lilly's mom is the coolest mom I have ever met. Period. Me and her took turns "Busting caps in some nigga's ass" (please don't shoot me) and did drive by shootings on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. You'd never think that Mrs. Page is a middle school teacher. And once again, a lot more stuff happened at the party, but I don't feel like getting into it. Happy Birthday, Lilly.

Well, I guess that's it. Oh yeah, I finished Half Life 2 this morning. If you've got the cash, go pick yourself up a copy. You won't be dissapointed.

Okay, forget the comments. I took them out cause they're gay and people either have to post as a blogger member, or post as anonymous. So comments are out, but that doesn't mean the chatterbox comes back.

Are people starting to crave an actual entry? I'll try my best...

Tuesday was the second full orchestra rehersal we had. Convenient that it just so happened to be on the day of the waterpolo banquet. Whats even better was that the rehersal was scheduled to be the hour right smack dab in the middle of banquet, which meant that there was no point trying to get to banquet before or after, anyways.

Atleast rehersal wasn't that bad. Or maybe all the winds and such were covering us over. Either way, I still think that we took a step back in terms of playing ability compared to last year. I just want this school orchestra year to hurry up and go away. I'm still deciding whether to rejoin next year.

If there's anything more to report about the past few weeks, then I've forgotten it.

It was windy as hell today. But you don't need to see it written here to know that =P.

New look.
Less green.
A bit more streamline.
Chatterbox has been removed, but the ability to leave comments under each new post has been activated.

Holy Mother of All Things Sacred, Half-Life 2 is an extremely fun game.
