Whooo, the weeks over! This entry is basically my take on the orchestra Long Beach/Disneyland trip. But if you want another perspective, you can find one at Patty's Xanga.

Yeah, Monday was hell for the sole reason that I had so much work to do so that I wouldn't fall behind the next two days while I was away from home.

Tuesday, we left for Long Beach after lunch and the bus ride up there was basically me reading APEC while listening to my iPod. For the most part, it was a pretty uneventul ride up there. We got to our hotel pretty damn fast... faster than I'm used to, anyway, I'm gussing because we took the 56.

We check into the Hilton, and Me, Ambrose, Girish, and Vladik head up to our hotel room where the first thing we notice is that there are only two beds. Yes, we had a little problem here. Ambrose gets himself out of the mess of arguing about who would sleep on the beds by claiming the easy chair as his bed. He then proceeded to construct a pretty good looking bed out of two easy chairs and a foot rest with some extra bedding that we found in the closet or something. That left three people and two beds to fight over. In the end, we let Vladik sleep in a bed all by himself cause he's so friggin huge, and me and Girish had to share a bed -_-. It was akward, to say the least, but it didn't hinder the fun of the trip.We managed to keep our distance from each other while in bed, lol.

Two hours after we arrived at the hotel, we left for dinner at Home Town Buffet and were stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for like an hour. We finished eathing then went to the high school that the festival was going to be held at.

First thing I noticed was that it was an indoor school?! Like the ones on the East Coast that I've never seen before except in movies. It felt like I was in a movie.. lol. We played... got a superior... did some easy peasy sight reading... got a superior, yadda yadda yadda. Then we waited for like 45 minutes at the school beause our buses were late picking us up and headed back to the hotel.

There was some pizza party thing happening downstairs in the lobby, but my roomates and I decided not to go. Instead, we took our showers, watched TV, and studied until like 1 AM. Bored moments were occupied by us throwing ice cubes off our balcony into the pool below.

When we woke up, we packed and went down to breakfast where THE FOOD WAS SO FRIGGIN GOOD it was amazing =P. I had like 4 servings of everything that they had at the breakfast buffet. I don't think I've ever been truly stuffed from breakfast until that day. Usually I just have a small bowl of cereal or a croisant or something before running out the door, y'know? But seriously, that was some damn good food. Then we got on the buses for Disneyland.

I haven't been to Disneyland years, but for some reason I remember being a lot more excited about it in my younger years than I was on Wednesday. Don't get me wrong, though, cause it was still really fun with all my friends and stuff. What ruined it a little was having to go to the clinic in the middle of the damn day.

The clinic sucked, by the way. All the guy did was tell us how unprofessional we were because we couldn't play the music perfectly while sight reading it, and telling us that we'd be fired if this were a real life recording session for a movie. I'll admit that it was a pretty good educational experience, though.

One of the highlights of the day was when we went on the Indiana Jones ride. We waited in line for 90 freaking minutes, but it was soooooo worth it cause it was the best ride of the day in my opinion. After waiting in line for so long, we started loosing it and would try to get the whole line of people to do the wave (which never worked because it would stop at the end of our group) and clap and cheer for those who had fast pass tickets and weren't waiting in line at all or clap and cheer for the people coming out of the ride screaming "WHOOO YEEAHHH!! YOU MADE IT OUT ALIVE!!" Hell, I don't even know what happened cause it was so weird. But funny as a hell, though =P.

Other highlights include when we would have sword fights with the plastic swords that we bought at the gift shop outside Pirates of the Carribean (Katie slashed my throat like a gazillion times.. she's really good at that ~.<), when one of the people working Its a Small World got me in a headlock (check Patty's Xanga for more on that), and some other stuff.

The bus ride home was pretty fun, too, even though like EVERYONE on the bus was studying. You might not understand, but hell, we all had so much homework to do over the break, we just couldn't afford to not do work. But even while working, we found time to screw around and still get things done. That doesn't happen too often, but it happened throughout the entire trip. All in all, it was one hell of a fun trip.

First thing I get word of when I get home is that my music lesson has been reschuduled to Thursday. Here's why this sucks: First, I had specifically asked for it to be on Friday because I had a swim meet on Thursday. Second, my week had been so damn busy that I had had absolutely NO time to practice. At all. I told my teacher, Mrs. Wong, that when I was at the lesson, and she was unusually cool about it o.O. Thats good for me in a sense, but I still felt bad for wasting a lesson... a lesson which costed 35 dollars for half an hour. I also felt bad about not being able to make the swim meet when so many other people had had to cancel on coach Janda, especially when she had put me in the maximum number of events possible, and now had to find substitutes for those events. Oh well, it was against Carlsbad, and I heard we got our asses handed to us in a hat, so maybe I don't feel so bad about missing it =P.

AIIEEEEE!!
