Went to the Barnes & Noble in Del Mar to do some gift wrapping fundraising thing for orchestra. Ahaha, during my 2 hour shift only like 6 people came to get their stuff wrapped. Right before I left, I counted $34.55 that we had made so far. Not bad. Then I went to Starbucks and got my usual thing there. Thats all, Folks

Happy day after Thanksgiving, everyone. Didn't do too much today either... had a turkey sandwhich for breakfast, a turkey sandwhich for lunch, and turkey sandwhich for afternoon snack, and rice with leftover turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy for dinner. This is probably gonna be my menu everyday for the next few days. Heh. Having turkey sanwhiches after Thanksgiving is almost as big a tradition in my famiy as Thanksgiving itself, and I'm sure its probably not too different for many other people. And for those of you that don't have any leftover turkey or didn't have turkey for Thanksgiving, you don't know what you're missing out on :D. Okey dokey, thats it for my schpiel (spelling?) on turkeys. In other news, I turned on the TV after dinner tonight to USA and they were showing "The Rock" again. As soon as I turned it on it picked up where I left of last night. How cool is that? Damn, that movie is so cool and patriotic and sad at the same time. Yep.

Happy Thanksgiving, all =). It seems only right that I do an entry tonight. Spent the day over at my grandma's house with my cousins who came down from LA. For the most part, I didn't do much but watch TV. A whole day of Nicktoons on Nickelodeon. Hell yeah. I never realized how much I could connect with Jenny from "My Life as a Teenage Robot"... Anyways, had Thanksgiving dinner around 7 o'clock, thats always fun. Turkey, ham, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, bisquits, cranberry sauce, apple cider, pumkin pie, all that good stuff and more. Then I watched some movies on USA, or part of some movies atleast. I saw that movie with Nicholas Cage in it, I forget the title, where he's a convict that gets on a jail plane with all these other criminal mastermind people and they highjack the plane and blah blah blah. Then I saw the first 45 minutes of "The Rock," not long enough to get to any of the really good parts though. That was my day.

Didn't really do anything today... but I wated the movie "Better Luck Tomorrow." I was gonna watch it by myself at first, but then my dad came in and said "Mind if I join you? I heard it was a pretty good movie. " I said sure, and we fired up the DVD. Then in really large print across the screen it said "Rated R for language, violence, sexuality, and nudity." At that point I thought to myself "damn... maybe its not such a good idea to watch this with my dad..." Don't you hate it when theres a sex scene in a movie and your parents are right next to you? Its a pretty damn akward situation. I'm not gonna get into the details of the movie, but I will say that it was interesting... Yeah.

Happy Birthday, Lauren! Alrighty then, lets get to my day. Woke up at 7 AM or so and went over to Chris's house for a full day of airsofting. 15 people went, and I saw quite a few new faces there, specifically Andrew, his friends, and John. I hope to see you guys at our next airsoft excursions. I'm not gonna get to much into the details because there are too many details. I will say that it was fun as hell though. During one round, I walked around the bush and saw James, who was on the other team, standing there. 2 people on my team were behind him, everyone had their guns down, so I thought my teamates had got him and won the game. I'm like "Hey James." He says "Hey. Are you out?." I reply "Nah, are you?" Then he's like "...no..." At that point we both raises our guns at each other from like 5 feet away, but I pull the trigger first. Heh. I win. Game over. I shot him in the hand twice and when he showed it to me after the game, it was bleeding from being shot so close. Sorry, but it was either you or me, James. It turns out that James had just earlier gotten those 2 guys on my team out. We ordered pizza for lunch, dueled with gas pistols, etc. When I was going home at around 5:15 PM my dad went into Vons to buy some milk, and I got a grande mocha frappucino with cream from Starbucks. Yum. All in all, it was a good day. I'm so damn sore now...

Today I was supposed to be going on a fieldtrip to see the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and was supposed to miss school from periods 1 through 5. But the charter bus broke down in the school parking lot, so we all waited about an hour for it to get fixed. Then after an hour, Mr. Torns was like "Seems like we can't get the bus up and running, so trip's cancelled. Go to your second period class and we'll just have a normal school day." Damn, that sucks so much... but atleast I got to miss Mr. Cumming's class. Hehe. By the way, I got a 70% on his geometry test. The average was 55% or something, so I'm above average. Hell yeah.

Hatchamadoo: and i said "must be a little nippy today" because.... yeah
CherrieBair: lmao!

In health we practiced CPR on mannequins. Its do weird to do the mouth to mouth part... I kept on bringing my face towards the dummy's, but as soon as I got close I'd lift my head away... its scary. Then when I actually did kiss the mannequin, its kinda hard because you have to make sure that your mouth is snugly over the dummy's so you have to like open your mouth really wide.

Pssh. This morning, I was already running late, and my mom still dropped me off to school at Sundevil Sidewalk, which means I have to walk another 5 minutes before I actually get into the school. When I got out of the car and was sprinting up the road, I saw some kids sprinting in the opposite direction and I though "Crap!! Is the sidewalk closed??" but I still kept on going. When I reached the gate to school, Mr. Garett was standing there and he told me to stop there for a while. So I was standing there for like 30 seconds. When more people had accumulated at the gate, Mr. Garett told us that he'd let us through, but not middle schoolers, because BMMS had been flooded. Then he told us that the road would be closed next week so we'd have to find an alternate route. When he was done, I resumed running towards Mr. Cumming's class. I passed Joey along the way and he was entering his classroom. He said "Don't worry, you still have time." Right then, the bell rang. lol. I Ran into Mr. Cumming's class like 8 seconds late and now I have tutorial with him. In orchestra we had a playing test and Mya said that I did pretty good, even though I didn't think so. After school went down to BMMS to see if I still had to tutor, and the answer was no. So I called my dad and he picked me up, blah, blah, and blah. Windows Project time.

In PE we changed teachers, so now I have Coach J for PE and health. Health yeah!! Okay... forget that. In orchestra we got a new student named Jessie who plays bass. Now we have like 5 Jessies in our class... maybe not, but we still have a lot. Then in health we're starting the CPR unit. Eh, serious stuff. The video was funny though, because it showed that to perfrom CPR on a baby you have to put them face down on your knee, and hit them on the back several times. And this procedure is called a "back blow." Pretty intimidating name, eh? The video showed it being done to a mannequin. For homework, I wrote up the poem that goes in the center of the Mr. P's window project. Its actally harder than I thought it was. I spent like 45 minutes just trying to figure out 6 verses.

CHINESE SCHOOL YEAHAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Friday, November 14, 2003

I thought we were supposed to have a sectional for orchestra this morning, so I went to school at 7:45 AM. There was no one there, so I was like "wtf...?" Turns out that the sectionaly isn't until next Friday, so I just hung out for an hour and a half before school started. Uhh... I didn't do so good on that midterm in math... heh. I'll leave it at that. While I was passing out newspapers for Journalism in 3rd period, I went into Mrs. Cabral's class and litterally everyone started shouting my name. Interesting, eh? During 6th period health, I turned in my drug project, wrote down some dates on the calendar, blah blah blah. Then Coach J told us our grades, and I got an 80% on the drug final. Huzzah. My average grade in that class is a 99%.

Wednesday, November 12, 2003

It was raining this morning and I had to walk through Sundevil Sidewalk which was muddy as hell. When I got to class, my height had an extra few inches added it because of all the layered clods of mud on the bottom of my shoes, and my pants were crusted with it. Then in first period Mr. Cumming's class we spent the whole lab period taking an algebra midterm. I can probably assume that I failed that. The only good that came out of that period was that I didn't have to hear him talking the whole time, and I got a chance to clean my shoes off on his carpet. Then in third period journalism... uhh... nothing happened in third period jouranlism. Nothing ever happens there. Thats my most boring class. Easy, but boring. lol. Mr. Mecurio, my journalism teacher, has been bribing us with extra credit to get students to join second semester journalism. But its hard for me to persuade anyone because I've already told everyone how much "fun" that class is. Then in orchestra we had sectionals, and Mya, my sectional leader for today, said that me and my stand parter were a good team. Yay. After school I was talking with John, Mikey, Chris, and Lilly while leaning on a wall. When I stood up, there was a greenish-brownish wet spot on my sweatshirt with peices of snail shell scattered all around it. When I looked at where I was leaning on the wall, there was a smushed snail on it. I killed a snail :(. I then went down to BMMS to tutor, but my student never showed up, so I just waited an hour until my dad picked me up.

Ahh, I haven't been airsofting in so long... and today was so fun. But then again, any day spent airsofting is fun. I say this would have to be one of the best so far though. Woke up at 7:30 AM and did my daily morning stuff. Then at 8:30 I was over at Chris's house to airsoft. No one else was there yet, so we played a few games of cooperative Halo. Then Nick came, but still there weren't enough people yet, so on with Halo. At 9, we're like "hey, we came here to airsoft, so lets just do that while we're waiting for the other guys. We go outside and gear up and stuff, but then all the other guys arrive before we even get a game started. Brian, Paulo, Jr., and Kevin come. We just about start a game, and then James comes. Then we take all our stuff and go out behind Chris's house, where its the base of Black Mountain and its like a nature preserve or something. Everything there is dry and dead though, so I'm not exactly sure if they can call it that. Technically we're not suppose to be there, but the police never care, only the Rangers do. Luckily none of them came by today. Our first game was a standard team deathmatch thing. I decided to flank the other team, but apparently some of their guys decided to do the same thing, so we met head on. It was 2 vs 1, me being the 1, so I was freaking out taking on 2 guys at the same time so they easily put a head shot on me. In the end, the other team won. Later on in the day, a construction worker in a yellow truck came by. We thought he was gonna bitch at us for being there, but it turned out he was just there to check the water pipe or something, and was pretty cool about us playing with guns. He even fired a few rounds from Chris's glock. Before he left, he said "I wish I had these things to play with when I was a kid." Then we start a round of capture the flag. This time I successfully flanked them and took out 3 of their guys, but Nick under his camo tarp thingy tagged me out. Once again, in the end, we lost. Sometime later, we decide to play out something like D-Day: Omaha Beach. 2 guys, Nick and Chris, go up to the top of the hill and pick a position to stay in, while everyone else tries to take them out and get up there. Pretty much an assualt and defend type of thing. We were gonna split up into 2 teams and flank them from both sides, but they said that there was a rattle snake on their left flank, so we scratched that idea. Instead, we got some people to go up the middle, while other people flanked them from the left. Holy crap, it was layed out so damn tactically. We were moving as groups, giving each other cover fire, and yelling crap like "COVERING FIRE!!!" and "LEFT FLANK!! LEFT FLANK!" We easily won that round, with me taking out 1 of their 2 guys. That game was so damn fun that we decide to do it again, but this time giving them another guy: James. Once again we were moving tactically, advancing towards their bunker, all while staying on the trail. On both sides of the trail is tall grass. When we got to one section of it, James suddenly pops out of the grass and starts firing at us from about 5 feet away. Not exactly the smartest thing to do when there are 6 enemies around you. As soon as he pops up and starts spraying, all 6 people on my team open fire on full auto on him. It was so damn loud, almost like real combat I'm guessing. He ofcourse gets hit like a bajillion times, and the funny thing is that he didn't hit any of us in the process. After this, Nick runs up to us and mows us all down because we were practically standing in a straight line side by side. All he had to do was sweep his fire. We lose. We decide to do this one more time, giving them only 2 people this time. we switch James and Nick out, and give Chris Wes as a teamate. So its 7 against 2 again. We play for a damn long time, and no one gets out. My team flanks them from both sides, but they just escape down the middle. When both flanking teams met each other in the center, we were like "wtf, where are they?" and then we see them running down the hill into the field. We run down after them and hide behind some bushes when they started firing at us. At this point the battery in my primary weapon dies, so I whip out my pistol. All 7 of us are behind 1 bush, so I say "they're gonna get us too easily this way, spread out." I run a few feet away to another bush, and I feel a BB hit my mask, so I call myself out on a headshot. As I walk back to our base, I looked at where Wes was, and saw that he didn't even have his gun raised, so he couldn't have been the one that shot me. But Chris was no where in sight. I sit at base and watch everyone else, who are all still behind the single bush. And Wes is just standing there in front of them a couple hundred feet away. Suddenly I hear full auto fire and everyone calls themselves out. Turns out that Wes was drawing my team's fire while Chris was flanking us. We were paying so much attention to Wes that Chris got all the way around us, and behind us. He was shooting at us from directly behind us. We lose again. Then we go down to the house and eat some pizza. We just hang out in Chris's backyard for a while. Heh, we did some "dueling" with the spring weapons. 2 people put their backs together, take 10 paces foward, turn, fire. It was pretty fun, but also pretty childish compared to what we were just doing before. While I was recharging my battery, Kevin accidently stepped on it and got dog crap on it. Thanks, Kevin. lol. That was my day. Damn long entry.

According to other people, this is how the freshmen won the waterpolo game last night: The clock is winding down to the last few seconds of the game, and the score is tied 4-4, with the away team in possesion of the ball. They close in to MC's goal to make what they hope to be the winning point. But their hopes die as Eamon, our goalie, blocks the shot. Seeing as there are only 4 seconds left on the clock, we have to do something now. With that in mind, Eamon swims out to the center of the pool, the farthest point a goalie can go, and heaves the ball at the opponent's goal. Essentially, the goal wouldn't have been made because the ball fell a little short. But as one of the players on the opposing team jumped up out of the water to block it, he slightly missed the ball, and instead he tipped it with his hand up into the air, and landing it into the goal. Congratulations, Eamon. I may have glorified some of the parts, but I don't think Eamon will mind :). Too bad I missed actually seeing that. Football game tonight, but unfortunately I can't go. Homecoming tomorrow night. Have fun to all those people that are going.

The past few days have been homecoming float building days. It took a lot of hard work, effort, and learning from mistakes, but we finally finished the freshman float. And even after all that, ours is still crap compared to the senior float. Jeeze... their's is so damn pro. We gotta like take notes off of them so we can do better next year. From Monday until Thursday all this week, volunteers have been at school from 2:30 to 9 working on the floats. And now its finally all good and done. Not bad. After school I went into Mr. Cumming's class during tutorial and asked to see my midterm score. Turns out got an 86% on it. Not bad at all... and I thought I was gonna fail it. That automatically boosts all my other geometry test scores up to a B if they weren't already that, so yay. After that, I went to watch part of the water polo game, and I came by now and then between float building to watch the game. I didn't actually get to see it, but I heard the freshmans won with just one point more in the last few seconds of the game. Congrats. I'm not sure about JV, but the last time I saw them they were losing 4-2. By the way, no, I'm not going to homecoming, so stop asking if I am. Besides, its too late to change my mind now.

I changed the style of the template a little bit because the default one was so... bland. That and white isn't my favorite color. If white isn't it, then guess what my favorite is. Heh. On to my day. Today was okay. Nothing bad happened, but nothing extraodinary exciting either. I got an F on Mr. Cumming's algebra test, but oh well, I consider that kinda normal now. I've had A's in all my math classes in all my grades up until now, where I have a B. I don't think it should count though cause Mr. Cumming's class should be an exception. Eh. I've been wondering about this question lately: what do white people have for dinner every night o.O? I mean, Asian people have rice everyday, but what do Whites call their staple food? Do they even have one? I asked around, but no one gave me a definite answer. We may never know... damn. My life is so exciting.

Hey look, I'm cool now. Everyone else has one of these so... yeah. I thought I'd try it too. Anyways, yeah. Yeah. A URL that resembles anything "michaelsun" was already taken, so I used my Chinese name. Yes, folks, that up there, Sun Zhen Zhong, is my Chinese name. Go spread the word. Guess I'm not the only Michael Sun, eh? Right. School starts tomorrow for the first time in a week. Awwwww cra... fun! Its really damn cold right now... and I can't sleep with cold feet >.<. Goodnight.
